Stitch Top 3 Book of 2012 @ A Thousand Lives!

Wanted to share some awesome news – Stitch was selected as one of the Top 3 books of 2012 by A Thousand Lives book blog!  Take a look at what Jannah and Nicki had to say about Stitch:

This book had a little bit of everything and weaved it all together in perfect harmony. This is Durante’s debut novel and I believe the girl has a really bright future as an author if this book is any indication of things yet to come.

I’m BEYOND honored for Stitch to be included on this truly awesome list of amazing books/authors.  If you’re looking to pile up your TBR, definitely swing by A Thousand Lives and check it out!

Once again, HUGE thanks to Nicki and Jannah for taking a chance on Stitch!  And Happy New Year to all!

Shudder News! & Stitch Review @ Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer

Exciting news!!  I’ve officially started on Shudder.  Yay!!!

My mind has been in overdrive the past couple days planning and researching the major plot points of the book, and I’m starting now to outline each chapter…  Will keep you updated as I progress!

Also, awesome new review up this week at Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer!  Check it out:

Stitch delivered a fast paced, original tale with characters I immediately identified with. What started out as an intriguing ghost story quickly morphed into a gripping dystopian and I cannot wait for the next installment.

Swing by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer for the rest, and thanks so much to Kim for taking the time to read and review Stitch!

Last call for Shudder requests!

Hey Stitch fans – exciting news!  In the next few weeks I’m going to begin writing Shudder, so this is your LAST CHANCE to give me feedback on what you want to see in the next book of the trilogy.

What questions were you left with at the end of Stitch?  Who do you want to see more of? What are you hoping will happen between Alessa and Isaac?  Whatever you’ve got to say, I want to hear it!

So far, these are the requests I’ve picked up from your reviews:

  • More romance between Isaac and Alessa
  • More action
  • More explanation of how Paragon came to be
  • More Isaac
  • More Janie
  • More Nikhil (note: I wasn’t originally planning to bring Nikhil back, but I’ve revised the story line to incorporate this request since I heard from so many people – I really AM listening!)
  • And keep bringing the twists!

Do you agree with the above?  And is there anything else you’d like me to take note of before I start putting Shudder to paper?  Let me know your thoughts in this quick Facebook poll.  (Or just go ahead and leave a comment or email me!)

Thanks again for all your support!  I can’t WAIT to get started on Shudder!

Author Interview @ All Fantasy Worlds

Great author interview up today at All Fantasy Worlds!  Here’s a sneak peek:

5. Do you have any favorite ghost stories?

I love ALL ghost stories, especially real ones…  One of my friends tells a great one that he claims happened to him in Tokyo on a train platform late one night.  My friend noticed that the only other person on the platform was this odd-looking older gentleman in a bowler hat, but he didn’t think too much of it since he was ALL the way at the other end of the platform, and it’s not unheard of for people in Tokyo to wear interesting clothes.  So my friend glances down at his phone to check the time, and when he looks up like two seconds later, all of a sudden the guy is standing RIGHT next to him!  Creepy!  Needless to say, he decided to take a taxi home, haha.

Lots more goodness in this interview, including dystopias, self-publishing, writer advice, and more!  Don’t miss the rest at All Fantasy Worlds!  HUGE thanks to Oana for interviewing me!!
